Hi! My name is Jack! I’m all about AI, data science, and privacy. You’ll probably see a lot of that sort of stuff on this blog. I’m spending at least a few years in industry before I decide whether I want to stay there or go PhD.

On my free time, I like to watch a lot of movies, as you can see on my letterboxd.

Here’s a list of my accomplishments so far…

• TA’d for 17-630: Prompt Engineering at Carnegie Mellon. The professor (Travis Breaux) even let me instruct a guest lecture on adversarial prompting (like jailbreaks and prompt injections)!
• Leading the development of Shade-GIS, an open-source platform for studying shade across public transit systems using geospatial data! Urban shading is especially important for cities in subtropical climates (i.e. the American Sunbelt), where the heat becomes unbearable in warmer months.
• Led the team behind Note Harbor, a note taking Chrome extension that lets you write sticky notes wherever you are in the browser! This project helped me learn a lot about product management & UX.
